Recently (well, it’s been a while ago I’ve to admit, it was at the end of last year) I visited friends in Dresden, East Germany:

On thursdays they have there regular “fire meeting�. I take time to visit it almost everytime I am in Dresden. They meet to have some fun, food, juice, prayer, hearing God, watching revival videos, blessing each other, talking and so on.

Anyway, on the thursday I am talking about we had a silent time where we wanted to hear from God. Suddenly a plastic bottle was cracking really loud. I thought by myself: “A plastic bottle… well, they do crack from times to times.� And suddenly there was this impression in me. God said: “No, that was with purpose!� And then I thought: “Sure….! I’ll better go back concentrating on God and hearing His voice.� Again my Daddies voice: “No, that was really with purpose. I did that, your Daddy. I wanted to show you that I am not a ‘genie in a bottle’. And because I am not such a thing, your aren’t a ‘bottle’ (in Germany we use the term bottle for a ‘twerp’ or ‘twit’, well simply an idiot). Cause I live in you and because of that you can’t be an idiot!�

Super! Thanks heavenly Daddy! That was very funny and encouraging! Even though I didn’t feel that bad at that time, it still was encouraging for the rest of the group and maybe for some readers of this post as well.

A virus is infecting the german blogosphere and finally hit me. Storch invited me to tell the world 5 things (secrets) no one of my readers knew about me before. And I always thought I live a somehow transparent life?!

Will I really be able to collect 5 things you didn’t know about me?

1) If I would have been born as a girl my mother would have called me by the name “Friederike�. Thank God I am a boy (man) and my name is Tom!

2) Well, Tom is not my real name. My parents called me “Andreas Thomas� and I really hate it if anyone would call me “Thommy� or “Andy�.

3) I walzed through the rain with a girl who is “just a friend� and will never be my wife. But we both share this romantic little secret now. Well, not a secret anymore.

4) I used to have a son. Well, he was a “foster son�, not my real one. He wanted me to become his father. He was a junkie with freaky bad parents at home (father in prison and mother raising a lot of kids alone). First I didn’t want to do that. I thought it was to much responsibleness for a man in his early twenties. But God told me to say yes and so I did. This fellow was my foster son for almost three months. Then he went to therapy and then sadly he fled from there.

5) I used to own almost every CD from Michael Jackson, until I was able to translate his lyrics into german. Then I threw them away. I was also a fan of David Hasselhoff, until I became a more mature teenager and this wasn’t the kind of music I wanted to listen to.
